Home Pedicure

Keep your foot looking great with these at-home pedicure tips

Things You Require:
1.Nail polish remover (if necessary)
2.Small tub
3.Water
4.Epsom salts or baking soda
5.Towel
6.Skin file, pumice stone or exfoliating scrub
7.Nail clipper
8.Cream/lotion
9.Nail file
10.Cuticle pusher/stick
11.Nail polish

Pedicure Steps:
1.
Place the smooth river stones in a tub. Fill the tub with warm water and 1/2 cup of Epsom salts. Stir the water until the salts dissolve.
2.
Soak your feet for fifteen minutes or until the water is no longer warm. While soaking, massage the bottom of your feet by rubbing them on the river stones.
3.
Use a pumice stone to gently scrub the soles of your feet.
4.
Use an emery board to smooth the clipped nails.
5.
Use an emery board to smooth the clipped nails.
6.
Place a drop of oil on a fingertip and massage it into the cuticles. Rub moisturizing lotion into your toes, feet, ankles, and lower legs.
7.
Clean off the nails with a tissue, and then add polish.
8.
Use a base coat first to prevent discoloring your nails. Next, add two coats of color. Last, add a clear topcoat.

Tips:
  • Allow polish to dry completely between coats.
  • Do not wear closed toed shoes for a few hours after the pedicure.
  • Do not attempt a home pedicure if you are diabetic. Follow your doctor's advice about proper foot care
