Dry Hair Tips

How to Treat Dry Hair

1. Use a nourishing shampoo and a conditioner for dry or damaged hair. Allow your hair to air dry whenever possible.

2. Avoid using heated appliances and steer clear of chemicals for a while. Colors and perms can be drying to your hair. If you want to add touches of color, opt for root touch ups, highlights or low lights instead of all over colors.

3. Limit washing to once every three to four days. If your dry hair is getting worse, use leave in conditioners and use detanglers to helps get any rats or knots out of your hair.

4. Use a soft, boars hair bristle brushes to brush out your hair. These soft brushes are better able to spread hair’s natural oils down the entire hair shaft.

5. For short term, use a shine product on dry hair will give instant sheen and a healthy looking appearance.

6. When you apply your body lotion, always take a little bit in your palms and distribute it through your hair. Use mayonnaise or olive oil in much the same way.

7. Wear a hat in the sun. The sun dries your hair out, as it bleaches it too. Hats can be cute, fun, and change your look completely! Even a simple straw hat can be fun and flirty! If you swim in pools, wear a bathing cap if possible. Comb leave in conditioner or a detangler into your hair before go into the water and throughout the day.

8. Use organic products like Wen Hair Products that sleek and smooth your hair. There are no chemicals added to them that can dry out your hair and make it poofy.
